1. The Art of Manliness

The clue is in the title. This podcast, hosted by Brett McKay, focuses on helping men become better men. You might immediately come up with an idea on your head of what this podcast will be about, but actually, every episode is unique. They can range from parenting skills, to philosophy, to self defense, to pop culture. A wide variety of topics for the well-rounded, educated man.

2. Ghibliotheque

Studio Ghibli is well known for their beautiful animated films and a lot of people are avid fans of the studio and all it’s creations. Join Ghibli fan, Michael Leader, and complete newbie, Jake Cunningham, as they venture through every Ghibli film, learn the history of each, get a newbie perspective from Jake, and force Michael to rank each film. It’s released every Friday so give it a listen!

3. Assassinations Podcast

There is a darker side to history. One that most people tend to veer away from. Yet it keeps coming back. Host, Niall Cooper, explores various assassinations throughout history, the story of each, and the conspiracies behind them. With such an in depth look at some of the most interesting assassinations of history, it’s hard not to get sucked in to this dark world.

4. The Throwback Podcast

Who doesn’t love a bit of nostalgia? Friends, Dan Hanzus and Bob Castrone, revisit some of their favourite and most important albums of music from their past and go through each track by track. Having already covered artists like Michael Jackson, The Darkness, Oasis and Janet Jackson. You’re bound to revisit some good memories of your own.

5. Who's Right?

A prewarning comes with this one. If you’re easily offended, perhaps give this one a miss. Hosted by Doug and Anthony, this podcasts roots are in dark humour, with each episode having many strong opinions, strong language and little to no prior research of topics covered. Released once a week, try it out and see if it’s one to add to your listening list!
